A Historic Milestone Reflecting Long-Term Vision, Responsible Stewardship, and Cultural Commitment

The Goldbelt Ancestral Trust has achieved a historic milestone. On April 5, 2025, the Trust’s Board of Trustees approved Resolution 25-04, authorizing the first distribution to Trust beneficiaries—direct descendants of original Goldbelt shareholders.

The distribution, totaling $1,215,000, will be made at a rate of $5.00 per share. Payments will be issued via check or direct deposit on May 7, 2025, to all certified Distribution Beneficiaries as of the record date, April 23, 2025. In accordance with the Trust Agreement, the distribution will be made pro rata, or proportional to the number of qualifying Goldbelt shares held by each beneficiary on the record date.

“We are building a forever company that aligns with our cultural values, which means creating a community that when Goldbelt prospers, shareholders benefit—not just today, but for generations to come,” said McHugh Pierre, Goldbelt President and CEO.

This inaugural distribution marks more than a financial payout—it represents a powerful reflection of Goldbelt’s long-term vision: to uplift current and future generations while maintaining cultural stewardship and financial sustainability.

Who is Eligible?

Beneficiaries of the Trust are limited to lineal descendants of an original Goldbet shareholder, who are also current shareholders of Alaska Native heritage by birth or adoption (before the age of 18).

If you can answer yes to all three questions than you are eligible:

  • Are you a direct descendant of an original Goldbelt shareholder?
  • Are you Alaska Native by birth or adoption before the age of 18?
  • Are you a current Goldbelt Shareholder?

About the Trust

Established in 2014 with overwhelming shareholder support at Goldbelt’s 40th Annual Meeting, the Goldbelt Ancestral Trust is a tribally owned, ANCSA settlement trust. Its purpose is to promote the health, education, and welfare of Trust beneficiaries and preserve the heritage and culture of Alaska Natives.

The Trust has three primary purposes:

The Trust is overseen by five Trustees—two appointed annually from the Goldbelt Board of Directors, and three independent Trustees serving staggered three-year terms. These individuals are tasked with safeguarding the principal of the Trust, ensuring its long-term growth, and adhering to a distribution policy that emphasizes predictability, sustainability, and stability.

Resolution 25-04 was adopted in alignment with the Trust’s approved investment and distribution policies, which are designed to balance today’s needs with tomorrow’s promises. The Trustees have prioritized maintaining the long-term value of Trust assets against inflation, distributions, and market fluctuations.

Looking Ahead

This distribution is the result of over a decade of strategic vision, financial discipline, and a deep commitment to serving the future of Goldbelt shareholders. It is also a direct reflection of the mission of Goldbelt, Inc.—to make a positive impact in the lives of our owners.

“This is a promise fulfilled, not just a check in the mail,” said McHugh Pierre. “It represents the kind of sustainable, values-driven success we’re building across all of Goldbelt’s enterprises.”

Goldbelt expresses its sincere gratitude to the Trustees, the Board of Directors, and Goldbelt leadership who have worked diligently to make this moment possible. This distribution is only the beginning—and a strong foundation for generations to come.
