Get Out the Native Vote (GOTNV) Initiative Supporter
Get Out the Native Vote (GOTNV) is a non-partisan initiative in Alaska aimed at mobilizing Alaska Native and American Indian voters to increase representation at the polls. The Unity Group, comprising Goldbelt, Sealaska, Huna Totem Corporation, Kootznoowoo, SEARHC, and other ANC non-profit foundations, are all stakeholders in this effort. Together, they drive messaging and promote the importance of Alaska Native voters participating in elections!

As the 2024 Election Season heats up, we want to remind all eligible voters to make their voices heard! Your vote matters: we're here to help you navigate the process.
Key Dates for Primary Election:
- 08/05/2024: Early voting begins for the State Primary
- 08/10/2024: Deadline to request an absentee ballot
- 08/20/2024: Primary Election Day (7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.)
Key Dates for General Election:
- 10/6/2024: Voter Registration Deadline
- 10/21/2024: Electronic Transmission Voting Begins
- 10/26/2024: Absentee Ballot By-Mail Application Deadline
- 11/4/2024: Absentee Ballot by Electronic Transmission Application Deadline 5:00 p.m. Alaska Time
- 11/5/2024: General Election Day (7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.) and by-mail ballots must be post marked
- 11/30/2024: Target Date for General Election Certification
Ballot Measures:
- Ballot Measure No. 1 – 23AMLS - An initiative to increase Alaska’s minimum wage, provide workers with paid sick leave, and protect workers from practices that violate their constitutional rights.
- Ballot Measure No. 2 – 22AKHE - An Act to get rid of the Open Primary System and Ranked-Choice General Election.
